A Small Step Out of the Closet

Today, humans left the house.

All of them.

For a while,

I stayed very quietly

in the closet.

It was quiet.

A little boring.

A little… uneasy.

Closets are safe places.

It’s easy to remain unnoticed there.

And they hold many secrets.

Like the little human’s socks.

But the world outside the door

has been calling me for a while.

So I gathered

a little courage

and opened the door.

One step.

Then another.

The room appeared

bigger

than I imagined.

And full of strange things

people leave around.

I feel

that it’s time

to explore a little.

But I wonder…

how many things

go unnoticed

when humans leave.

look around.
