The Same Place, Different Eyes
I’m already here.
Not far…
But far enough to feel it.
A narrow path.
A small piece of land.
Surrounded by water.
Wild.
Quiet.
Alive in a different way.
I saw…
A stone.
Rising out of the water.
Strong. Still.
A lighthouse-
standing on the edge of a cliff.
Showing the way
to those who keep moving.
And those wild beaches…
Their sunsets…
They take your breath away.
My humans saw it too:
They stopped.
Looked.
Took photos.
“Beautiful,” they said.
But I saw it differently.
It wasn’t just a stone.
What if on that stone
there was a cat?
Yes… a cat.
But with a fish tail.
Like some kind of mermaid.
And not just a lighthouse.
In my mind-
it became something else.
Giant octopus tentacles
wrapped around the lighthouse.
Slowly.
Quietly.
Without a sound.
It was something more.
Like a sign.
Or a feeling
you can’t explain.
Maybe it’s all about perspective.
Or the direction you choose to see from.
Some see objects.
Others feel meaning.
And sometimes…
simple things
become unexplainable.
